Dates: 21-29 March 2014
Organized by: HUJ, with the support of the Youth in Action Programme of the European Union.
The training course “Volunteering Go for Better World” was held on 21 – 29 March in Yerevan, Armenia with the support of Youth in Action Programme of the European Union.
The project gathered participants from Armenia, Belarus, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy , Lithuania, Moldova and Ukraine.
The main objective was to provide participants with new knowledge, skills, experience and good practices in this field that they are now able to apply at home and invest in their local communities, developing new voluntary service projects within own organizations.
During 7 days the group was exchanging own practices in field of volunteering and knowledge of working with voluntary youth projects.
The idea of this training course was to express that volunteering is a tool for everybody who cares about the well-being of the world, people and society, to serve them and at the same time gain something non material (experience, knowledge, good practise, etc). According to this, to become a volunteer or to organize voluntary projects, young people have to think about the needs of community, which actually is based on personal needs of everybody.
The methods were chosen in a way to allow for a maximum learning effect, meet the needs of the group and encourage a high identification and ownership of the participants with the content and process of this training course.
